The new standards for Agreed-upon Procedures Engagements (“CSRS 4400”) are effective for engagements entered into after Janaury 1, 2022.  Here in British Columbia the most commonly executed engagements which fall under this new standard are Accountant’s Reports requested by various regulators.

To assist practitioners in the adoption of the new Agreed-Upon Procedures standards we have made available for purchase our template Caseware file for BC Financial Services Authority (“BCFSA”) Brokerage Activity Reports (formerly the Real Estate Council of BC (“RECBC”) Accountant’s Reports.   The Caseware file includes a draft engagement letter, acceptance and finalization checklists, draft representation letter as well as a template Agreed-Upon Procedures Report including the reporting structure for your findings and exceptions.  Note that the Caseware File includes the BCFSA requirements as posted on the BCFSA website as at November 2021.

Should the BCFSA make substantive changes to the Accountant’s Report requirements we will make available to you an updated template for purchase.
