Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises – 2023 Update

The annual APSE update will review the guidance provided in a new exposure draft for related party combinations and the new accounting guideline for cloud computing expenditures. Reminders of previously effective standards will be provided to ensure your 2023 financial statements reflect these changes. The session will wrap up with a highlight of the common deficiencies we note in the application of the onerous HB 3856 financial instruments and related party transactions requirements which were part of the 2021 ASPE update.

In this session we will cover:

  • Newly issued exposure draft for related party combinations
  • Cloud computing
  • Reminders for the 2021 financial instruments changes (preferred shares, related party transactions)
  • Insight into new and upcoming standards
